Can I be part of The Fold, even if I can’t go to every event?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You can join The Fold membership and still take advantage of perks like online community and marketing opportunities, but skip occasional in-person events. Or, you can opt not to join the membership and attend in-person events on a pay-as-you-go basis. PAYG events are around £15/ticket (depending on event details).

Can I access the WhatsApp group without joining the membership?

Can I pay-as-you-go to attend online events?

To maintain the close-knit trust of The Fold community, only members will have access to online coworking and accountability sessions.

Question 5

Can I advertise in The Fold without being a member?

Accepted Answer

The Fold is primarily a community group, and marketing opportunities are a perk for members only. Marketing opportunities include the directory, newsletter ads, and social media spotlights.

Will there be people in The Fold with a similar business to mine?

Accepted Answer

Probably! The Fold (and its predecessor, The Tribe Network) has always been a collaborative, community-over-competition space.

We believe that every business is unique, and that we can gain more by learning from one another than we might lose by working together. In The Fold, we are colleagues, not competitors.

Can I swap between daytime and evening events, or do I have to pick one?

As a member, you can decide each month which in-person event you want to attend as part of your membership. You can also book a discounted PAYG place at other in-person events.

How often do members get ad space in the newsletter?

Accepted Answer

There are limited ad spaces in the newsletter every month, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. We guarantee members one ad space every quarter.

Can I deliver a workshop to members?

Accepted Answer

Probably! We are always looking for speakers and facilitators our members can learn from. If you have a skill to pass on to a group of self-employed women, we want to hear from you! Members and previous Tribe Network or The Fold attendees are especially welcome to speak. Email hello@thefoldnetwork.co.uk or fill out the contact form below.

Question 10

I can’t attend a speaker workshop. Can I watch online?

Accepted Answer

No, we do not record workshops in full. The Fold workshops are typically quite interactive, and we want to maintain the feeling of trust in the room.

You may be able to interact in other ways: all speakers have the opportunity to take part in Instagram Lives, post a session summary to The Fold blog and social channels, and host a speaker AMA (ask me anything) in the WhatsApp community.

What if I want to cancel my membership?

You can. Simple as that. Though I do hope you won't want to leave, sometime's things just don't work out that way.

All memberships are on a rolling monthly or three monthly basis, you can cancel either through the members area or by contacting me using the form below.
