OUR STORY:
The Fold (and its predecessor, Tribe) is a collaborative community for self-employed, freelance, and side-hustling women in Leeds.
It’s a different kind of networking – one that values community over competition and support over sales.
Tribe has evolved into The Fold: the same supportive community, now with more ways to connect, collaborate, and grow together. Alongside our events, we’re introducing a membership to deepen those connections – while keeping the heart of Tribe firmly intact.
Whether it’s building relationships, learning a new skill, working side-by-side, or having your back in the group chat, The Fold is about meeting other self-employed women and forming real friendships.
Here, there are no sales pitches and no pressure for referrals – just support, laughter, and genuine connection.

How to get involved:
We host monthly evening meet-ups across North, West, and Central Leeds, alternating between guest speakers, workshops and social events.
You can expect down-to-earth chat about real business, real life and everything in between.
Once a month, join us for a relaxed morning co-working session in Leeds. Work alongside other women, share ideas, and enjoy coffee and cake while you do.
For members, we also host online co-working sessions, so you can and stay productive no matter where you are. BYO cake!
Throughout the year, we run extra events designed for a little well-deserved “me” time.
Expect retreat days, creative outlets and opportunities like brand photo sessions and more in-depth workshops in partnership with The Fold members.
Working for yourself doesn’t have to mean working alone.
Whether you choose PAYG or become a member, surrounding yourself with people who “get it” brings confidence, connection, and the reminder that you don’t have to do it all by yourself.
